“Connecting Concord’s Diverse Community: Celebrating Our Shared Humanity” is a free public meeting for New Americans and members of the receiving Concord community. Featuring a six-person panel of local refugees, immigrants, and student leaders, this event will highlight the refugee and immigrant experience here in Concord, and explore how the community can work together to make it better. Following panel presentations, attendees will break out into facilitated, small group discussions. All will reconvene at the end for an open community discussion. The meeting will be facilitated by Gerri King, Social Psychologist & Organizational Consultant.
Beverages and light snacks will be served. All members of the Concord community are welcome.
This event is organized by: the Concord Area Task Force Against Racism and Intolerance; New American Africans; Concord clergy; the Concord Police Department; the Attorney General’s Office; the U.S. Department of Justice; Concord educators; NH legislators, and many committed community members.
